Privacy Policy

Last updated 3 September 2026

Sentinel is a media intelligence service operated by PT Reportica Media Grup (“Reportica”, “we”, “us”) and available at app.reportica.id. This policy explains what personal data we collect when you use Sentinel, why we collect it, and the choices you have. It applies to account holders and to the people whose public posts Sentinel collects on behalf of its customers.

Who is responsible for your data

The data controller is PT Reportica Media Grup, a company incorporated in Indonesia, registered at World Capital Tower, 5th Floor, Unit 12-15, Jl. Dr. Ide Anak Agung Gde Agung Lot D, Kawasan Mega Kuningan, Jakarta Selatan 12940, Indonesia. You can reach us about anything in this policy at [email protected].

1. Data we collect from account holders

  • Account details. Your name, email address and, if you set one, a password stored only as a salted hash. If you sign in with Google we receive your name, email address and profile picture from Google; we do not receive or store your Google password.
  • Organisation details. The organisation you register, the projects and keywords you create, the members you invite, and the onboarding answers you give (who you represent, how you heard of us, what you want from Sentinel).
  • Billing details. The legal name, billing email, tax identifier and address you enter for invoices. Card and bank details are handled by our payment provider and never reach our servers.
  • Usage and security records. Sign-in sessions, the device and browser used, IP address, and an audit trail of administrative actions, kept to secure your account and to investigate abuse.

2. Google Sign-In

When you use “Sign in with Google” we request only the basic profile scopes: your email address, name and profile picture. We use them to create or match your Sentinel account and to show your name in the workspace. We do not read your Gmail, contacts, calendar, Drive or any other Google data, and we do not share Google account data with third parties. You can revoke Sentinel’s access at any time from your Google Account permissions page; your Sentinel account then remains usable with a password.

Sentinel’s use of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements. Google user data is used only to provide and improve the sign-in feature described here, is never used for advertising, and is never sold or transferred to data brokers.

3. Public content we collect for customers

Sentinel’s purpose is to monitor public conversation. On behalf of each customer we collect posts, comments, articles and public profile information that are already publicly available on social platforms and news sites and that match the customer’s registered keywords. For each item we may store the text, the public author name and handle, the public profile picture, the link, engagement figures, and the analysis we compute from it (sentiment, emotion, topic). We do not collect private messages, private accounts, or content behind a login. If you are the author of a public post and would like it removed from a customer’s workspace, contact us at the address below.

4. How we use data

  • To provide the service: collecting, analysing and presenting public conversation in your workspace.
  • To operate your account: authentication, invitations, quota, billing and invoices.
  • To send service messages: verification and password-reset emails, invoices, quota and alert notifications, and scheduled reports you configure. We do not send marketing email without consent.
  • To keep the service secure and to enforce our Terms of Service.
  • To improve the service, using aggregated statistics that do not identify individuals.

We do not sell personal data and we do not use it for advertising.

5. Who we share data with

  • Infrastructure providers that host the service and deliver email, bound by data processing agreements.
  • Google, when you choose Google Sign-In, and only to authenticate you.
  • Payment providers, to process payments you initiate.
  • Authorities, where the law requires it.

Members of your organisation can see the projects, mentions and reports of that organisation. Platform administrators at Reportica can access workspaces only to operate and support the service.

5a. Legal bases and international transfers

We process account and billing data to perform our contract with you, security records and public-content analysis on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a media intelligence service, and anything else with your consent, which you may withdraw. Our servers are located in Indonesia; some providers (email delivery, Google Sign-In) process data in other countries under safeguards required by applicable law.

6. Retention

Account and organisation data are kept for as long as the account exists. Collected public content is kept for the retention period of your plan and deleted when a project or organisation is deleted. Security logs are kept for up to twelve months. Invoices are kept as long as tax law requires. Backups expire on a rolling schedule.

7. Your rights

Under Indonesia’s Personal Data Protection Law (Law No. 27 of 2022) and comparable laws elsewhere, you may ask us to access, correct, export or delete your personal data, or to restrict or object to its processing. Account holders can change their name, password and sessions from the Profile page and delete their organisation from the workspace. For anything else, email us; we respond within 30 days.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted in transit. Passwords are hashed, sessions can be revoked, and access to production systems is restricted to named staff. No system is perfectly secure; if we learn of a breach affecting you, we will tell you without undue delay.

9. Children

Sentinel is a business service and is not directed at anyone under 18. We do not knowingly create accounts for minors.

10. Changes

We may update this policy. The date at the top says when. For material changes we notify account holders by email before the change takes effect.
